Prof. Rene Testa, speaker, Bridges

Most of the designers and many of the builders of NYC’s great bridges are now gone, but the bridges still need constant maintenance, testing, rehabilitating and preserving.  Today’s most experienced and respected expert on these issues will speak to us during our February 15 luncheon.  Prof. Rene Testa, P.E., Columbia emeritus Professor of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, and President of the Columbia Engineering Alumni Association, will share his experiences with us.  He will also include research issues re: the 911 Twin Towers and the Minneapolis I-35 bridge collapse.
