Featured exhibit:
Miradas de Mujeres: Isabelle de Borchgrave and the World of Frida Kahlo honors a conversation between two women who have never met, yet shared the same love of fabric, patterns, and colors. De Borchgrave presents her unique perspective on Frida Kahlo, herself one of the most iconic female artists of the 20th century.
Stepping into the home of Frida Kahlo, “Casa Azul”, you are presented with a stunning trompe l’oeil universe constructed entirely from paper. De Borchgrave depicts an entire Kahlo world - cupboards, carpets, cactuses, trees, dresses, and jewelry - in paper and colors that remind us of the artist’s joie de vivre, a side of her that is frequently forgotten.
We hope to see you there!
